1. Herbal fumigation (for the purification of home environment, as well as for healing purpose)

Ingredients – Bhimseni / Indigenous Camphor, Clove, Jayafal, Javitri, Turmeric, Black Sesame seeds, Neem leaves, Lemon Grass, Cow’s Ghee + Havan Samagri (mixture of herbs) prepared by Shantikunj (if available) [Total Quantity – 20 to 30 gm]

How to do? On cow-dung cakes / iron plate (tava) / steel strainer / copper plate

OR

Light incense stick – Shakalya (made of havan samagri) / Guggulu / Kamdhenu dhoop – 1 each, morning and evening

      With normal Shantikunj made hawan samagri/ home made hawan samagri (described above under the heading ‘Herbal fumigation’)

      – 12 times ahuti with ‘Gayatri mantra’

      – 5 times with ‘Surya Gayatri mantra’

      – 5 times with ‘Mahamrityunjaya mantra’

      (if patient is not able to do Yagya, then it may be done by any family member, near patient’s bed)

          Dietary Recommendations

          Do Not Take

             

              • In general – cold, sour, stale, frozen, heavy to digest food items

              • Specifically – curd, cold drink, ice cream, chilled water, any refrigerated food stuff, black gram pulse or any stuff made up of black gram, jackfruit, deep fried things like puri, samosa, etc.

            Take

               

                • In general – light, hot or warm, fresh, easy to digest food stuffs

                • Seasonal fruits like Apple, Papaya, Pomegranate, Orange, Lemon, Amla, etc.

                • Daliya (Porridge), Khichadi of Green gram dal, Boiled green vegetables, Steamed sprouts

                • Protein rich diet like pulse, rajma, etc.

                • Sahjan (Drumstick), Hara Dhaniya (Green coriander), Pudina (Mint)

                • Chutney of amla and hara dhaniya

                • Soup of tomato, carrot and drumstick (with a pinch of black pepper and black salt)

                • Coconut water

                • Frequent sipping of warm water boiled with tulsi leaves, crushed ginger and turmeric powder

                • Turmeric milk

              Lifestyle Recommendations

                 

                  • Usha paan (drinking 2 to 3 glass of lukewarm water in the morning, after waking up)

                  • Maintain good hygiene

                  • Do daily saline / triphala gargle

                  • Do regular Yoga (pranayama, meditation etc.) for at least 30 minutes per day

                  • Avoid exposure to cold breeze

                  • Avoid consumption of raw / uncooked food items

                  • Drink lukewarm water – 2 to 3 liters per day

                  • Must drink water – 30 minutes before meal and 45 minutes after meal, and whenever you are thirsty; don’t drink too much water with meals (can take up to 50 to 100 ml)

                  • Take dinner at least 2 to 3 hours before going to bed

                  • Take proper sleep at night (7 to 8 hours)
