Dr. Pranav Pandya is globally respected as a pioneer of scientific spirituality. As the leader of the organization, he has carried the authentic message of Indian culture across the world, helping establish Gayatri Pariwar branches in more than 80 countries. Under his visionary guidance, Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, continues to set new benchmarks in value-based education and spiritual-cultural leadership.

A futurist with unwavering commitment, Dr. Pandya envisions a brighter future for humanity and works tirelessly to bring that vision into reality. His efforts led to the creation of a unique university dedicated to Indian culture, scientific spirituality, and holistic education. Founded in 2002 through an ordinance of the Uttarakhand Government and recognized by the UGC, the University is being developed in the spirit of the ancient Gurukuls of Nalanda and Taxila.

The primary focus of DSVV is to prepare inspired youth who can contribute to social service while advancing their own inner growth. Dr. Pandya’s approach integrates scientific reasoning with spiritual insight. He continues to serve in several significant roles, including Director of Brahmavarchas Research Institute, Head of All World Gayatri Pariwar, Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Editor of Akhand Jyoti magazine, and President of Swami Vivekananda Yogvidya Mahapeetham.

CHANCELLOR'S MESSAGE

Dear Students,

I appreciate your interest in Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. If you are accepted to study here, I believe it can bring a meaningful and auspicious transformation in the direction of your life. After graduation, you will have every reason to believe that, as an important member of society, your contribution to the world’s cultural renaissance will be vital and distinct.

Society eagerly awaits inspired social servants who carry the values and discipline of this university of excellence. Unfortunately, education today is increasingly viewed merely as a means to increase earning potential. This reflects a narrow and incomplete understanding of the true purpose of education. The deeper purpose of education is to develop a multidimensional personality, prepare students to face the challenges of practical life, and awaken their hidden qualities and potential.

At DSVV, this deeper purpose remains central. Our goal is to apply the ancestral wisdom of India to shape each student into a noble citizen who is prepared to serve society. DSVV is a magnificent and unique creation—a manifestation of a divine plan envisioned by Yugrishi Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji. Throughout his life, he worked to revive the ancient Rishi traditions and uplift the deteriorating state of Indian culture. DSVV is a crucial component of that divine mission.

Journey of Hon'ble Chancellor

  • 1963Came in contact with the Gayatri Mission, founded by Yugrishi Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji, an organization devoted to the moral and spiritual upliftment of humanity.
  • 1972Completed M.B.B.S. from M.G.M. Medical College, Indore, India.
  • 1975Completed M.D. from M.G.M. Medical College with a gold medal.
  • 1975 - 1976Published research papers on the treatment of psychosomatic diseases, sleep disorders, and neuropsychiatry.
  • 1976 - 1978Served as a physician in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited hospitals in Haridwar and Bhopal.
  • Since 1979Serving as Director of Brahmavarchas Shodh Sansthan, Haridwar.
  • 1984-1990Led Personality Development and Moral Education training programs for Central and State Government officers; more than 55,000 officers have participated.
  • Feb. 1992Addressed a joint session of the House of Lords and House of Commons in London.
  • 1993Presented the scientific aspects of Indian culture at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, USA.
  • 1994Initiated a watershed development program for rainwater harvesting, later expanded across India.
  • Since 1994Serving as Editor of Akhand Jyoti Hindi monthly magazine, also published in seven regional languages. The magazine has approximately 1.5 million subscribers worldwide. An English bimonthly edition has been published since January 2003.
  • Since 1995Serving as Head of All World Gayatri Pariwar in close collaboration with Shailbala Pandya Ji, Managing Trustee of Shri Vedmata Gayatri Trust.
  • 1996Honoured by NASA as a distinguished scientist and reformer for the worldwide dissemination of the scientific aspects of Indian culture.
  • 1999Presented the scientific aspects of Indian culture at the World Parliament of Religions in Cape Town, South Africa.
  • 1999Conferred the “Hindu of the Year 1999” award by the Federation of Indian Associations and Federation of Hindu Associations.
  • During 1990-2000Undertook extensive tours across India and abroad, organizing large-scale programs to disseminate the scientific basis of Indian spirituality. Various years Delivered lectures and participated in conferences at Cambridge University, Oxford University, Harvard University, UCLA, and other leading institutions.
